Session: When the Business Wants Waterfall – Implementing Agile in a Phase-Based Environment

It is possible to implement an agile software development approach in an environment where the corporate standard is waterfall.

The presentation shows how Halliburton implemented an agile-based process for software development while still allowing software projects to comply with the corporate standard waterfall process framework.  It covers the specifics of how agile was mapped into the existing waterfall process, the adjustments required in order to allow agility, the challenges encountered and how they were resolved, and the value recieved by the corporation by adopting this approach.
